- Caller: Unknown
- eatglass| 1 replyalso got this. said that it was from "TCR" and that I had to call before 10:15 am the next day for my "case", and I got a case number.
didn't call, because i had no idea what this is and is more than likely a scam.- Caller: TRC
- Dreamkatch| 1 replyI got a call from them yesterday, a man saying it was regarding an issue that has arisen in their office regarding me and they need me to voluntarily resolve this matter. They said it was mandatory that I call by 2:15 the next day in order to resolve this issue voluntarily. The first bit of the message was cut off by my voicemail so I couldn't tell where they were calling from....they must do that on purpose.
It sounded pretty serious! Scared me for a minute! I'm glad i googled it first! - Dreamkatch| 5 repliesHA! Found them! It's called Total Credit Recovery (TCR) http://www.totalcrediting.com/about/index.html
[***]. - John Selmer| 15 repliesHad a call from "Derek Daniels" of "tcr limited" who stated to call him back at "1-888-725-9898 2:15 tomorrow" (called received February 8, 2008) and also demanded to meet in an undisclosed office in regards to resolving an undisclosed situation. This call was not directed at any individual in particular but rather seemed very demanding and "threatening like". Called back number with 2 quick rings where at that point the voice mail cut in asking for an account number, name, and number stating that "you" are calling regarding a "time sensitive matter" about an issue that needs to be resolved. The call was from a male with a very deep voice who tends to pronounce certain words in a louder tone of voice; also sounded very serious.
- Caller: TCR Ltd.
- John SalmerThe message i had explained is very identical to the message "Dreamkatch" had posted and yes I too am glad i googled it first the site seemed fishy to me so I posted here after I stumbled upon the site.
- MicdrewSame as above, tried to figure out where it is from, glad I found this
M - Barnacle BillTnx Dreamk...same here, same request, same number, same time (2:15), same motive, same miserable idiots!
- Caller: TCR Ltd.
- jgot this call this morning when i was still half asleep and i just sent it to my answering machine, the msg was half cut off, but it was a female voice saying that they've tried numerous times to contact me about this outstanding issue, and if i wanted to voluntarily resolve it to call the number for derek daniels..
- Caller: tcr ltd
- John SalmerYea these people don't give up, they've already called me on 5 different occasions with very similar messages each and every time. Clearly a scam, that's for sure.

I just got a call from them as well. From a toronto-local phone number 416-774-7991. They said to call back {888-725-9898} by 4:30 this afternoon.
This is what the message said:
"Good day, we are calling to inform you that time is running out on your opportunity to deal with this issue voluntarily. It is imperative you call TCR Limited today before 4:30 pm.. Please call 888-725-9898."- Caller: TCR
- IdiotsI got the same message today, who are these idiots and what do they want?
any clues? - Bob Mueller replies to Jack| 6 replies888-725-9898 - is a collection agency. You owe money or someone at your residence owes money or the last person that had your phone number owes money. Call them back and discuss the issue. It is is not a scam.
- FrustratedI also got the same call from a 416 number leaving the 888 number to call TCR. I did, and was asked to leave my name, account number and phone number. Since I am not in debt or behind on payments to anyone, and have never dealt with a company called TCR, I can't very well leave an account number! The voice mail message they had made "numerous attempts" to settle this with me (wrong). I hung up and called the 416 number which is disconnected...weird.
We have been getting calls here for someone with the same last name as us, and first initial - so perhaps that's what this is about - but I'm not going to leave my phone number on a voice mail inviting them to call back. I'm so tired of unsolicited phone calls!- Caller: TCR
- PatchI wouldn't call them back as it has been suggested, if the C/A is looking for "you" - they will find you..Did you get a letter yet? I would wait for something in writting that explains what they are looking for .. You talk to them and you confirm it is you and it is NOT a legit claim them they will call you forever -
They go away after awhile when it gets sold to someone else to collect. - managerI have received a few calls from these people. It is a collection agency but the scam is not them (TCR), it's whoever gave your phone number away. I called the 1-888 number and talked to a supervisor (for a minute, I thought I forgot some long lost debt!). They asked if I knew "so and so" and if my address was "123 any street". Well, no it wasn't. They removed my number from their system acknowledging that I am not the person that they are looking for. No one had my number or my address in the recent past. The person who took the money used my number.
- Toronto_IndianI agree with "manager - 9 Apr 2008". I have the exact experience.
But then - how come only TCR has these issues and no one else does?- Caller: TCR

- Beacherboy| 5 repliesThese guys are idiots. They wanted me to supply personal information to them without even identifying who they were. I told them there was no way in hell I was giving out information. He then asked me to confirm the year of my birth (he provided month and date) or confirm my address (which he also provided) - all after he said he can't give out personal information without confirming it first (confusing enough?).
Anyway - the guy got pissed off and said "Calls will continue starting at 7am" I told him to get bent and I'll sue him. He hung up.
So now, I've setup Skype to their number to just dial and dial and dial and dial. I've pissed off a lot of receptionists already (just laying on the keypad once it gets through to a human).
Two can play at this game.- Caller: Total Credit Recovery
