I just started getting this call, the last week of July. As others have said, no-one ever leaves a message.....caller I.D. sayd "unavailable"....these people need to find better things to do with their time.

These toll free calls started coming in the last week of July. They are calling numerous times of day and night, and as everyone else says, no answer, or a hang up. I have reported this to the police in our area, and I was also able to put a tracer on it by dialing *57. When the phone rings pick up and then hang up. Pick up the phone again, wait for dial tone and dial *57. Wait on the line and it will tell you if it was successful. This was with the help from AT & T. Then call your local authorities and report the call saying that you have put a tracer on it and it was successful. I beleive the call is coming from El Cajon, Ca. from the University Prep Center. They also use 2 other numbers which are cell phone #'s, both with a 619 area code. One of the cell #'s is 619-729-2247 and the other is 619-260-1626

i get phone calls from this number atleast 3 times a day, and i never answer. there are never any messages or anything. but then today, i answered the call and a mans voice said "its not worth it" and then hung up. kinda scary, i know. any ideas?

i would like them to stop calling me.  they wont ever talk to anybody or leave a message. they call at all hours of the day

I've received about 2 calls from this number over 3 weeks. they claim to be a company based in Miami Fl. and calling from Texas. they would not give a location in Texas, I doubt this. I cannot find a cvompany named such in Miami and the reps are very rude. They have told me different American sounding names thought they are not and have been extremely rude snd refused to removed my number from their list. The person they are looking for no longer has this number, as I have it. They are looking for Chris Smith, another extremely generic American name. It's some kind of scam.

I got the same thing happening to me just recently. It got me so pissed that I yelled at them in the phone. There's never an answer! Wtheck is wrong with these people? They have no life. I tried calling them back but it never goes through. I don't know about you guys, but I'm getting really pissed!

I agree--they've called me four times today, and it's only 3:04 pm!  I'm so pissed right now... As soon as I speak, they hang up; if I wait for more than six seconds without speaking, they still hang up.  They never leave a message.  It's driving me insane.

I received a call from this number and the person knows what county I live in. He is taking a survey and didn't give me a chance to even ask who he was. I told him I was busy and he said he would call back. 3 times so far today.

calls numerous times a day to both my and my wife's cells. goes to voice mail, never leaves message, only 2 or 3 seconds of silence.

I have only had this number for about a month. When this person calls he asks for me by name. I tell him that that's me and he hangs up.
My phone service is through Terracom. I was just wondering if we all have different phone companies or are we all the same.

i am very tired of this call to and it seems theres no way to find out who it is.
they keep calling my brothers number and he has pschytzophrania so you can imagine what we go thru!

Have you tried calling information for the university prep center.If we could get a number for them and call the main person at this university and tell them maybe they could research to see if the calls are coming from there.

I have been getting continuous calls from 888-000-0000 starting July 2009. I do not answer them, and so far, no message has been left on my answering service. I have not been able to find any info on this anonymous caller. Please make them stop. Thank you. Minister Carole

Always get calls from this number. WHen you pick up the phone there is silence on the other end.  Very frustrating to get calls during business hours waiting on customers.

The person contacted our business stating that they were from the yellow pages and asking us if we wanted a free listing. Upon declining, they used profanity and threatened the employee who answered the phone stating that they knew our address and asking if our respondant if they knew karate. Upon hearing this, we inquired to talk with their manager - more profanity so we hung up.

The exact thing happened to me!  I am an employee and they presented their business as ATT free yellow pages online.  They said the owner already agreed to post in their free listing online and they needed to update their listing.  I confirmend the address never using the word "Yes or OKay"  Just "That is correct or incorrect"  They got REALLY mad as they told me to answer in "Yes or NO".  When they asked if I agreed with the new listing I said NO...and they said "Too bad you're already signed up sucker!"   Be careful of this call!!!  Now I just get to wait for a bill from them I guess...I'm anxious to see their address...and call better business on them.  RUDE, SCAM, NOT AT&T!!!!

Do not pick up this call!  They represent themselves at AT&T online yellow pages...They are NOT...it's a scam that charges you 39.99 a month if at any point in the call you reply "YES" they record it as confirmation that you agreed to the terms...DO NOT TALK TO THESE PEOPLE....DANGER...DANGER...
