Nicholas Quartz from Icon National finances called about a loan application done over the internet. Ounce I spoke to Mr.Quartz He advises that my loan was approved under some condition. A insurances deposit of $800.00 or a co-signer of a person who make more than $50.000 a year. I send the $800.00 and follow his intruction. The money was suposes to be deposited to my account within hours of my insurances deposit. I called Mr. Quartz back and he advises that there was a mistake with the deposit and that the inicial deposit was $1600.00. At that time I asked for a refund of my $800.00 which I had to borrow. Mr quartz advises one more time that a refund would take up to 10 days which at this time it is way pass that.

I experienced the SAME exact thing.  It really screwed me up because I used my rent money for the insurance payment because I was sure that I would have my loan in hours and it wouldn't be an issue.  Needless to say Mr. Quartz and Nancy Truman stated that there was a problem with the loan and that the actual broker need an additional $800 for the insurance and if I paid that I would have my loan within 90 minutes.  I declined and just asked for a refund.  Funny thing is that they refuse to refund you the money the same way that they request YOU to send it to them.  I was told I would see my check with my full refund plus what it cost me to wire the money in 10 days. I lost my apartment because I didn't have my rent money and fell behind on my carpayment as well.  Here I am 3 months later with no refund and no one returning my calls from them.

Nicholas Quartz is a bigtime scam artist. He took us for over 1500 dollars that we had to borrow in order to put a good faith deposit down for a home loan he was offering. Can't something be done about this? Have reported him to federal trade commision and everything else I could think of. No money back. Guess we just got screwed.

needed money badly and found the company online and filled out the basic info they required there.  I get a call from nicholas quartz couple of days later saying i was approved and even sent me forms to fill out with all my credit info.  Soon after i sent, he called me and told me about the $1,500 insurance deposit or something.  Once i sent that, 2 days later after i was promised of delivery within the end of the day, he calls me back saying he was mistaken and i needed to send another 600.00 to him.  I was desperate and borrowed some more money thinking i will have my loan and all will be ok but i never heard from him again.  Police couldnt help and now my life is in ruins 1 year later.  If there is anything that can be done to get back at him, please tell me how.
